Privacy
Short version: your projects are yours. We store them to run LAINE, we use an AI service for a few features, and we never sell your data or show ads.
Who we are
LAINE (KaiMaLaine) is a project management app run by KaiMa Foundry, part of GeoffMedia, LLC ("we"). Questions about this page go to support@kaimafoundry.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture from Google. LAINE has no passwords: you sign in with an emailed link or with Google, handled by our sign-in provider.
- What you and your team create: workspaces, projects, tasks, handoffs, "waiting on" items, decisions, project chat messages, invites, who holds the ball on a task, and Pulse check-ins (on track, some risk or stuck, plus an optional line).
- Client page: when a client sends an item back from a project's client page, we record the name they type, their email if they add it, the time, and their browser type.
- AI usage: a record of each AI request with the feature, model and size, so we can keep spending within a daily limit. This record doesn't include your text. We keep the AI-written result (for example a project status) so it doesn't have to be written again.
- Technical data: IP address and browser details in our hosting provider's logs.
How we use it
- To run LAINE: sign you in, store your work, and show it to the people in your workspace.
- To send the emails you ask for, such as sign-in links and invites.
- To keep LAINE safe and working: spotting abuse, fixing errors and controlling costs.
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
Google sign-in
If you choose "Continue with Google", LAINE receives only your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to create and sign in to your account and to show your name to your team. We don't ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts, and we don't share Google data with anyone except the service providers below that run LAINE.
AI features
Some features (scope reads, the Monday Brief, Ask LAINE, the client summary and the Pulse status) send the relevant task titles, project facts and check-in answers to Anthropic, which writes the result. Anthropic processes this data to return a result under its API terms. Each workspace has a daily AI limit, and when AI is off or the limit is reached LAINE writes a plain summary instead.
Who else handles your data
- Supabase: sign-in and accounts (United States).
- Cloudflare: hosting, the LAINE server and the project database.
- Email delivery: our email provider sends sign-in links and invites.
- Anthropic: the AI features described above.
The client page
A project's client page can be opened by anyone who has its link, until a workspace owner turns the link off or makes a new one. It shows that project's progress, and task titles only if the owner allows it. Share it only with people who should see that project.
On your device
LAINE uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as light or dark mode. We use no advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Your work stays until you or your workspace owner delete it. If you ask us to close your account, we delete it and the workspaces you own; backups are cleared on their normal cycle shortly after.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your own work in LAINE.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account at support@kaimafoundry.com.
Children
LAINE is a work tool and isn't meant for children under 13.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users in the app.
